Grant Policies and Procedures

Most grants are directed to projects and programs in Tarrant County, Texas.

Primary fields of interest include the arts; education; health and medical services; human and social services; programs benefitting youth and elderly; civic and community endeavors that enhance quality of life.

Grants in other fields or geographic areas are considered on an individual basis and are usually initiated from within the Foundation.

Applying organizations must qualify for exemption under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or other appropriate Sections.

We do not make grants or loans to individuals.

Submission Process

• We have no deadlines for submission of grant requests.
• We do not have a standard application form.
• Grant submissions are not accepted via email.
• As often as possible we prefer to meet with organizations submitting a request.

Submissions are received and processed throughout the year. The Foundation Board meets three times each year to consider grant requests. Meetings are typically held in February, May, and November. See the News section of this site for specific meeting dates which will be posted as they are set by the Board.

Please submit one copy of the proposal including a narrative summary and budget for the program.
Also include:

• Current year’s budget for the organization
• Prior year’s budget and actual results
• Most recent Annual Report
• Most recent audit report or tax return
• List of Board Members
